How was your Halloween? Mine was very psychedelic. It was fun to hang with the witch friends aforementioned. A very fine evening indeed. However, I did contract some sort of flu which has me hallucinating like I am on a rocking ship at all times, which, in my case, you may think I would enjoy? Anyways, my illness struck me with a Autumnal spirit and made this little family of pumpkin weirdos which I felt compelled to share with you. Happy Fall equinox. 2014 is nigh and don't forget your witchcraft calendar for the new season.

Pumpkin Jack lives in big mushroom in the forest, he gets around very well crawling through the corn fields on his uni-gourd foot he has decorated with a single glistening jewel. Pumpkin Jack wears a ribbon on his hat that also has skeletons wearing top hats. He is a very complex little guy and lives in many universes at the same time. Share your dreams with him. Oh! And He can see in the dark! He is 9 inches tall with pose able arms and is made from genuine Indian corn just in time for the dolly-day season!

18 inches long. Wormy Gourd Head has very strong gourd arms, which don't actually help him much because they are so short. His great grandfather was the Caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland, due to his famous thespian background Wormy is trying to get acting work to be as known in books and on the silver screen as his ancestor but is having no such luck, which is why he is here on Etsy. Wormy however is a charming fellow, and tried to spice up his gourd head with jeweled flowers. He will worm his way into your heart.

These pumpkin head siamese twins are named Crazy and Cry. They are koo koo. The way their mom tells them apart is one has a cloven corn hoof and the other only has a stumpy foot.  

They get a long pretty well with everyone. They smile through the pain of being crazy even though their jeweled eyes are dripping black goo tears. They enjoy the fall season very much because this is when they were born. They are 14 inches tall and have a super soft fluffy tummy all stripey and yummy.

They used to burn witches just for crafting dolls, now maybe we all know why.

A respit from my journey All Nautical All the time (can't stop the fetish)

Sorry to be out of touch, I know I usually update my blog more often than this but I was in NYC for a month then San Francisco for a month now I'm back in Savannah. One thing I've come to realize is I have really amazing and magical friends everywhere which I am endlessly thankful for, and the other thing I realize is everywhere is just kinda ghetto. That's just the way it is. I had amazing photos of my life I wish to share with you, but a pirate stole my cell phone at a marina in San Francisco during a drunken sea shanty freak out. Oh Fiddle Dee Dee. Much blood sweat and tears has been shed over prates, but no longer. Now only Gentleman sailors Mermen and Mermaids allowed in this port.

I HAD A DREAM THAT WAS A POEM
It also had an illustration of child in a shipwreck , that on closer inspection was a wooden bow spirit of a cupid. Laying with it's wooden cracking skin on a bed of sea weed.

The ship did wreck, but mercy was mild.
Among debris lay a sleeping child.
And as he lay himself to rest.
He made himself an angels nest.

This was in reaction to a pirate I knew and loved leaving his treasure behind and telling me to search for a diamond ring through it which I did not find. But instead found celestial maps navigational charts and sailing instructional books, brackish barnicales and repulsive palmetto bugs, pirate flags smelling of rotting seaweed, molded photos and money from long ago times and far away places. Fair winds to all of you who love the sea. And also to the landlubbers who dream to live the dream.

The summer solstice is the first day of summer, it is an exciting time for life and the fun times ahead in the warm weather.

In the southern tip of South America, the Mapuche people celebrate We Tripantu (the New Year) a few days after the northern solstice, on June 24. Further north, the Atacama people formerly celebrated this date with a noise festival, to call the Sun back. Further east, the Aymara people celebrate their New Year on June 21. A celebration occurs at sunrise, when the sun shines directly through the Gate of the Sun in Tiwanaku. Other Aymara New Year feasts occur throughout Bolivia, including at the site of El Fuerte de Samaipata.

In many cultures, the solstices and equinoxes traditionally determine the midpoint of the seasons, which can be seen in the celebrations called midsummer and midwinter. In this vein, the Japanese celebrate the start of each season with an occurrence known as Setsubun. The cumulative cooling and warming that result from the tilt of the planet become most pronounced after the solstices, leading to the more recent custom of using them to mark the beginning of summer and winter in most countries of Central and Northern Europe, as well as in Canada, the USA and New Zealand.

Sailing a lot lately and having a great time!

While sailing, we found and reused all the elements of this ecological jug painted with mermaids and decorated with recycled fish nets, casting ropes, shells found on different islands from the inner coastal water way of the south.

Hot Witch Debbie Harry

When I was 13 I saw Debbie Harry sing on Solid Gold, she gave me hope that there was a place for me in this world. She was a frontier front woman for style and music in 80's and beyond! Here's a little about Beltane and Cinco de Mayo

Beltane is the Fire and Fertility festival in which we welcome summer. Celebrated by Celts, from sun down to sun down; Beltane being at sun down on April 30th until sun down on May 1st. The word Tane comes from the Welsh word meaning fire and Bel is the name of the Welsh sky god. Combined the words mean fire in the sky creating a wonderfully appropriate name to invoke summer. Traditionally two babies, one of each sex, were selected annually to be trained to become the Stag Lord and the May Queen. Their time came at the age of 14 and the boy ran with a herd of deer. At some point the dom buck, or great stag, would sense the intruder and it was up to the Stag Lord to overcome him. If he returning victorious and undamaged, he then mated with the May Queen as symbolic conformation.

The Beltane fires burned throughout the entire celebration to signal the suns strength returning. Live stock was driven between two bonfires during the festival to protect from disease in the coming year. The frail and sick also did this to obtain sun's healing power.

Beltane is a day to look back on our ancestors and give thanks to the lord and lady.

Cinco de Mayo is the day that Mexico celebrates victory over the French.
