Art is immortal! The goal is for the legacy of magic and the beauty of our
environment to live on for
generations of humans, animals, and the earth forever.
Congratulations damedarcy.com community members! Our global community is now
officially 10,000! To celebrate this , we are in the process of setting up a
way for everyone to talk to each other, meet and swap ideas, art etc. it’s
important in this lonley virtual world for those kids in the middle of
desolate places like where I was in high school to make weirdo friends like
themselves and not feel alone, but to revel in the glory of what it’s like
to be unique, witchy, and magic!
Thanks to my wonderfull assistants: Jackie, Leilani, Jeff, and my manager
Philip for their amazing help and patience with the tour and all their hard
work gearing up for and managing it! Give em a big virtual hand!
So, The Illustrated Jane Eyre is out , and by the way available exclusively
on damedarcy.com in the book section with "specil" one of a kind drawings and
signed only for the damedarcy.com community. Also, Death By Doll’s first album,
which is also the soundtrack for Gasoline.
Speaking of... I don’t know how much you know about my eco-feminist graphic
novel / Feature Film Gasoline or about my next project The Excorsisters.
But they are essentially about the same thing: Gasoline, about technology
working with nature to preserve the beauty of mother nature, which we as
women have a unique and specific responsibility to. It’s about a family of
witches in a rock band that live in a utopian society.
Their search for Gasoline leads them to another different conclusion they
did not expect. That is, they have to give up everything they ever believed
to be the truth and all the earthly conveniences they were attached to to
find a higher truth and to learn through the school of hard knocks (life
after the apocalypse) to live with nature instead of against it.
Which they are open to, because they are witches and believe in magic and
the moon, and that there is a spirit in every animal, plant and tree, also
in all the elements, fire, air ,earth, and water. Their dark-wave songs are
all about it.
Oh, by the way, the family of witches consist of hot guys.
Also, this is like our production coven, Day Of The Spark, who is headed by
the Pirate lass Josie Oriana Bassford, she really keeps everyone in line.
Its a fire sign thing. Its kind of like how the mob kept Frankenstein in
line with a buring torch. Recycle that! Bitches! (Witches, this is not
applicable to you)
You’ll get to know all these people in depth very soon. Don’t worry.
Anyhoo... We just got our LLC (Thanks PETER!) and our Tax ID # and
beginning of the Gasoline website (Thanks Tony!) and now our investors
coming through too! Our animation production house, fancy actors, amazing
artists and designers eco friendly vehicles and inventors. We are all living
the utopian environmentally sound dream this movie is about! The goal is to
reverse the ice caps melting through lifestyles of the rich (like chocolate)
and famous( like Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer)
If you have any ideas on how to elaborate and collaborate please contact us
in the Agency section of damedarcy.com with GASOLINE THE MOVIE in the subject line.
The Excorsisters is a graphic novel in the works that is an advice book for
young women with spells, crafts, how to Play instruments, etc. designed to
look like a zine with comics. It stars a rock band of girls called the
Excorsisters who keep reliving Halloween everyday. We’re also pitching it as
an animated TV series. And again, if any of you have any leads or interest
in this please write to me at the agency with THE EXCORSISTERS in the
subject line. ^v^ THANKS ^v^

and yours can own it for the holiday season! Its bigger than a bread box,
and glittery as hell!
A picture is worth a thousand words, so please do so be inclined to go to ebay and check it out!

(semi)CURRENT AFFAIRS

The tour was really great.. The Jane Eyre Illustrated Graphic novel and the
Death By Doll CD have been incredibly well received. I did book signings at
some really awesome bookstores. My favorite was the feminist bookstore in
Portland, In Other Words, I got an awesome picture of and from a 5 yr old
lad named Badger, who thinks I’m actually a mermaid. I’ll definately be
recriting him in 20 yrs for my pirate ship.
Also I loved Dark Delicacies, in Burbank thanks to my LA friends for coming
to this and the Barnes and Noble at The Grove. This and the and The Comic Bug in Manhattan
Beach THANKS CESAR!
Atomic Books was fantastic, located in Baltimore, it made me have faith in
humanity again.
Baily/Coy in Seattle was great too. Very classy, and Miss Oblivious’s 9 yr
old daughter Darby, wins the most adorable and dollesque award.

As far as the Main Stream Book stores go, Barnes and Noble in NY was the
best book signing. It was great to see my NY homies represent, including the
Putnam Penguin ladies from my publishing co. They are all so super cute!
Donna,(the lady at the Barnes and Noble) was really academic and adorable
and did a little intro with her glasses and turtle neck sweater.
The San Francisco Branch was awesome too, not as big of a turn out as NY but
they were really supportive and my friends from High School were there! Alot
of my friends from high school have been getting in touch with me lately and
I want to acknowledge them with a big ol’ Idaho hug!
I love you Kevin Lussie!

Apparently Courtney Love has been touring with her new book too (which I am
the proud owner of) and Death By Doll partied with her in NY at the V mag event on Halloween.
Thanks Chris Bollen for being such a pal, and for dressing like a gorgeously
hot Mr. Angel.

My other favorite book out right now is the Amy Sedaris I Like You dementia,
which my Mom thinks is hilarious and I recommend every one to check out.

So... As far as the music part of our tour goes, Dr. Steam Whipple(Michael
I.) is my hero. He drove for a million miles at all hours on the east coast
with out complaint and is a fantastic lead guitarist and satanically cute in
devil horns! Christopher Hydinger is so awesome I can’t even stop! He has a
kick ass beat and stuck through to the end even when he burned his hand, he
kept the show going like a pro! Aaron Detroit is always so dreamy on keys.

Our show in Rochester was fantastic. Our song Aquaducts can be seen on U
Tube and the whole Lobster Quadrille crew was very sweet, dynamic, and
accomodating. Thanks Solomon!
My digital camera got stolen(I’ll get to that later) and I wanted to do a
photo series of my favorite girls I met that came to the shows but I can’t.
I’d still like to give a shout out to Melissa Jackson (wearing her own
fashion) and The awwesome girls that had the cute pumpkin Maraca’s and
requested "Chicken" form the DD greatest hits CD. DXD loves you!

Our R.I. Show was with another band called Dame Satan. But they weren’t as
weird as we thought. We spent all day the next day in the graveyard
frolicing with our R.I. friends (Tommy B. and the cute n’ crafty sisters)
after visiting the grave of Lovecraft. He used to have a huge amazing tree
that took over the whole world and filled it with its weird twisty black
moss dripping into the form of specter self growing out of his grave, but
they chopped it down and replaced it with a little sqirrely tree like a
twig! I was so mad! But I got over it by Boston.

The Boston show was a hot girl-a-thon. All the ladies from The Turkish
Queen, Fluttter Effect, and The ladies from The Day of the Spark production
co. were there showing their movies and playing music. The guys from
Guillermo Sexo were so patient.
Lots of love to the ever fashionable and hard working Irina, Carolyn, and
Ajda!

Our Baltimore Show at the Talking Head was a blow out! My best friend in the
whole world was there playing in Flaming Fire, which was better than
ever! Antonius Block was incrediable! And Lefty from New Orleans with (MC
Tracheodemy) did a song about the levy breaking that made me want to dance
and cry at the same time. I met him before in N.O. when I played at the
circle bar. speaking of dancing our own Tony Boies from damedarcy.com arrived with
yummy dark chocolate (bitter sweet, like life)

The Nite of the Tritone (Thanks Laris Kreslins!)show was very romantic and
rainy. Kilroy was kick ass! They are Shawn( a very dapper fellow who got on
his knee and gave me a boquet of roses, which he also does for the ladies in
his band, and his wife! I just want to get on MY knees and give his Mom a
trophy!) singing the weirdest songs ever and doing the most amazing covers
of the weirdest songs, with two hot identical twin girl drummers that
doubled as backup! I peed my panties, really!
Earlier that Philly day Death By Doll spent the afternoon taking in the local sights.
We went through the very old school and fancy looking college campus and had
chinese food then explored the very chic movie theatre and ended up sneaking
into "the Grudge" on accident (I swear!) That movie is hillarious!

NEW YORK! NEW YORK! Ahhh where to begin! How much do I love thee let me
count the ways
1) Bellmer dolls , you are sooo sweet and it was so nice of you to let DXD
use your practice space.
always the hottest ever (in the male catigory) on the east coast!
2) Michael Portnoi weird and inspiring as usual!
3) And HAUNTED PUSSY!!! I wish I was the master off all the unicorn kingdom,
for if I was, I would give it all and throw the ice cream castle in too for
the lovley, magical, and talented Jessica Delfino! I know I am giving the
impression that this is what Haunted Pussy is about, but Oh to the
contrairy! It is about a young girl who gets locked in her haunted house and
abandoned by her parents
where she continues to be raped by ghosts. However, this haunting tale is
VERY interpretive, so you’ll have to find more details about the mystery for
yourself! Jessica’s costumes are simply to die for, and that vocal range!
WOW!

So then DXD flew to the west coast...
Thanks to my dear dear Lewis Beach Marvin IV for driving us so far and for
so long and for doing it with the loving kindness you are renown for.
Especially for getting me safely through the winding roads and pelting rain
of the North west. And for being such a pal.

Our first West Coast show was in San Francisco Hosted by none other than
Obsolete Brandy (Thanks so much for this show ) and Scottish Andy the most
glamourous couple in SF. On the.... DAY OF THE DEAD the luckest day of the
year! It was great to see the scene in SF flourishing and wonderfull to play
with Black Ice!

Then tragedy of sorts struck...I had a premonition that I was doomed,I cried
all day, feeling out of sorts for seemingly no reason. Something I could not
tell what it would mean. Lewis has these animal tarot cards,we did them to
find out what this feeling of doom could mean... the spider came up. The
favorite animal of my x boyfriend, something that I fear with a primal
urgency. Something that attacks then scurries off into the darkness never to
be seen again (much like my X) I thought maybe he was trying to hex me or
something.
Looking back at the series of events I should have taken this is a warning
given to me by my witch powers and been more protective of myself than I
was. Anyway, we were staying with my friend Patric(Thanks for your help
BTW) and we parked our vehicle for mere moments, under a bright light, in
front of a full resturant, with people walking everywhere (I think you can
see where this is going) any way, when we returned to the back window had
been smashed and ONLY and ALL of my stuff had been stolen!
My fender bass, all my hand made couture, cute socks, and lacy hard to find
undergarments, makeup, effect pedals, and victorian boots, a box of our new
CD’s and a box of my books, my digital camera etc. All of it amounting to
over 2000, easily, and took a lifetime to acquire.
Most of this stuff had been given to me from my X,(and I know he’s now
reading this because he stalks me through my blogs) and is laughing, but
don’t laugh too hard bitch, because "the show must go on" and it did
fabulously. I debated even blogging this because no one at the west coast
shows could even tell any thing happened. But I’m always one for journalistic
drama so there it is.
Anyway, I searched throught the streets for the culprits. I didn’t care if
they were 3X bigger than me and on crack I would have kicked their asses but
my witch powers only led me to my luggage tags ripped off and found under a
car 4-5 blocks away. I was strangely serene during the whole thing though
due to the freaking out I had already done earlier in the day. Well any way,
now we all know what I’m asking for for christmas... Jeez.
So, I thought I’d finish the rest of the tour doing acoustic banjo, but
banjo’s are hard to find and even harder to rent, so I asked my friend Greg
Gomberg if I could borrow his Bass for the rest of the tour (thanks GG) and
we ended up doing the best show that night and making lots of money, (which
up to this point had not been a concern.)

OH MY GOD! This is how Sacramento made me feel...

(¸.•´ (¸.•´ .•´ ¸¸.•¨¯`•

SACRAMENTO! It was hands down the best show of the entire tour! Thanks to
Nathalie from Agent Ribbons and the ladies from Spider silk dress and Night
Nurse.(Christopher DXD told me it would be good but I never expected this
kind of glory!) Where do I begin! Such a wealth of beauty, talent,
craftiness and awesome vivacious energy from the unicorn dancing crowd. The
sound guy was the
cutest, and Agent ribbons millions of varous hand crafted CD’s blew my mind!
The prolificness of it all
and how smart the girls were gave me new hope to my otherwise tainted view
of humanity.
Plus Sacramento was so fun! We stayed in and saw the most amazing victorian
haunted houses and one in particular had weird wooden lions over the door.
Thanks so much for giving me cute clothing to wear for the rest of the tour.

Portland was so classy. Thanks to my lovley friend of over a decade Alicia
Rose who set up our show
at Doug Fir, which is an awesomely themed North western meets Frank Lloyd
wright kinda place. I love LOve love the portland scene so much! And my
family was there (thanks folks! and Bro’s!)
But I havn’t even got to the good part yet. STONE JUICER! They sound just as
incrediable and gleaming as Heather’s Gold body suit looked! I love their
new egyptian themed thing they are doing now. I want to move to Portland
just to marry them and snuggle like an egyptian forever and ever!
My parents were really in fine form, I have to say , mom, really helped out
a lot. And is always
so accommodating to my band. And speaking of amazing mom’s, my friend Amber
De Celle is a hot single Mom who is also independantly producing her own
feature film, when we went to her house it was all painted mysteriously grey
and she has the greatest kids that work with her,and are really smart.

Olympia was super fun too. Thanks to Nathan at Manium! He was so super sweet
and that place is awesome. Also from that day forward I can not stop
thinking about Joey Casio. I love his lyrics, style, music, and everything!
Everyone loves Joey though, I could tell. Miss Oblivious bought really cute
shrinky dinks she made from the damedarcy.com mermaid logo into necklace charms. She
is so beautiful in her white wavy and curly styled just so hair and her own
hand crafted dolls. She calls her hair style "the george washington" Again,
can I say it enough, gotta love the crafty ladies!
Also there was the most amazingly odd puppet show?!

Playing with ARKADE in Seattle at the Commet Tavern was phenominal. These
are old and very dear friends of mine (I will always love you Niki Sugar)
and it was truely and honor to share the stage with them. Christopher set
this show up perfectly and I loved the stylish gothic band that played after
us, Hypatia Lake. They were haunting! Neeley Bat and her cute friends were
there and helped me out alot by being so cute and attracting people to the
products table like bees to honey.(Thanks Neeley!) Plus it was fun hanging
out at her house, eating gingerbread with ALL her friends. Again, did I
mention she has alot of friends? One of which is a dolled up icecream truck
dweller that runs on veg oil! Hooray!

Our last DXD show was suppost to be in LA with Lion Fever and Ryan
Heffington’s fingered dancers in a dead doll blow out, but Little Pedro’s
closed for some mysterious reason, but we’re definitely going to do our LA
show. I promise!

However... Last but not least, The WACKO show on Hollywood went swimmingly.
Thanks to Billy shire (a magnificent currator) and Meghan Murphy of Star
Magazine. I was so happy it as like my graduation day or somthing. Lots of
people bought the Jane Eyre original art, and everyone who showed up was so
amazing and unique. It was really fantastic to see alot of my old friends,
and meet new ones, who came from all over LA to represent. WACKO is also a
book store and this event was also a booksigning. Star took lots of photos
and donated gift bags.
it was a really fun way to end an amazing tour , and it could not have been
possible with out the help of all the love and support of so many amazing
friends! Thanks a million to everyone!

LOVE LETTER

Benefit for Gabby

OK, so this love letter is about to get really heavy, but I wanted to wait
until the appropriate moment to honor and profile a lovely young lady who
was my assistant for years and passed away this fall.
Gabby Mantini, was multitalented and beautiful and had a wonderful bright
future ahead of her, she was only 21, and died instantly in a head on
collision, which wasn’t her fault.
It’s weird slips in the fabric of the mortal coil of human existence that
makes me wonder if God isn’t just a sadistic weirdo, laughing at the sick
jokes he can play.
We all love Gabby and will continue to do so, time and death can not take
this from her friends and family.
Her band, The Grimes, are doing a benefit at the Smell this Saturday, Dec.
16th. For her mother Martha. The address is 247 S. Main st. in downtown LA.
(off 3rd)
She was a really big help to me and has touched my life forever as a friend.
This went down before the tour, but I wanted to have the headspace to be
able to address it appropriately.

HAND BOOK FOR HOT WITCHES
Grieving is really hard core. I had 3 really good friends die last year, 1
from suicide, and 2 from heroin over dose. This year my friend Gabby, who’s
death seemed senseless and like a horrific bolt from the blue.
All of these beautiful friends were young and full of life. Which is a
constant reminder to the living to live and never take any one dear to you
for granted, none of us know how long we will be here. Life is so fleeting
and precious.
I walked through a forest and saw the stump of an old tree that had been
cut. I looked at the countless tiny rings that were the years of its life
and counted out the inch and a half that added up to the years I would hope
to live.
Due to these events I have spent my fair share of time obsessively
contemplating where my witch friends are.
When I’m thinking about my other friends and want to see how they are I can
write them a letter or call, it sucks to want to contact some one and to
remember time and time again, it’s just impossible.
I know though that they are in a mysterious and beautiful fairy place and
not just boring old heaven, because thats not the kind of people they were.
They were all incredable and unique to the world.

It’s healthy to mourn for as long as you need to and not deny your feelings
about your loved one, but it’s also healthy to not let it overwhelm your
life, and to continue on with the things you do so you don’t fall into a
stagnent pit of sadness. Its a tough balancing act, but it can be done.

Anyway, I could go on this way forever, but I want to offer some ancient
techniques
that I learned from a buddist meditation book, to help those in mourning...

1) Sit comfortably on the floor so your spine is straight. Imagine yourself
being suspended by a string from above rather than being weighted to the
earth from below.
2) Put your hands on your knees facing upward
3)Breathe in and as you do , concentrate only on the breath. If other
obsessive thoughts come into your head , surround them in a pink bubble and
label it "thinking" then pop the bubble to make the thought go away.

Another...
Breathe in and feel the extremity of your pain. Breathe all the way to lung
capassity, and when you breathe out feel the release of the pain.
do both of these as many times as you need to.

Light a white candle and focus on it, as the candle burns it helps your love
one pass into the next realm with care, it also helps you to pass into the
next phase of your life wth out your loved one.

PATRON SAINT

OK so, on a lighter note, and speaking of which, Amy has a whole greiving
section in her book...
My other favorite book out right now is the Amy Sedaris "I LIKE YOU"
dimentia which my Mom thinks is hilarious and makes her think Amy has had
nursing training.
I recommend every one to check out. I’ve been a big fan of the Sedaris
Family for a long time now and I love the weird craftiness of this book. Amy
has this weirdo little plastic worm named Sanchez (I think) that is hiding
in all her food. Yummy! Also, she loves fake meat, bunnies and squrrels,
rec. drugs, wigs, cake decorating, and nude panty hose. She does the panty
hose alot! She’s very hot granny about it all and you know you just GOTTA
love that! She so into granny that she has a whole entertaining for the
elderly and entertaing for the sickly sections. Also for x junkies,
children, gypsies, and lumberjacks. There is no one omitted from Amy’s party
and I LIKE THAT!

The East Coast was quite lovely in the fall . Driving through the brightly colored foliage of New England was beautiful and romantic.
Our shows were fantastic in Rochester, Boston, Philly, R.I. and Baltimore and NY thanks to the many and wonderful efforts and talents of our friends and fellow bands. Thanks so much for your support!

Hello Lovelies,

Latest news...

My latest Artist Salon entitled DRESS DOLLERIUM will be hosted this Sunday, April 30th, at Sweet Charity in Silverlake at 3318 Sunset. 12:00 noon to around 7 ish. There will be Fashion! Fine art! Who knows? Dont miss Death By Doll electronic darkwave band UNPLUGGED!
(This is happening in L.A.)

Speaking of fashion...

I just learned how to silk screen and its so super exciting! All new coutre is currently posted on E bay today! For the Gents and the ladies. Look for it under Dame Darcy. Here’s a direct link: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZdameQ5fdarcy

Love,
Dame Darcy

1/26/2006

So Last year ended with a bang! Touring with Lisa Suckdog was a pee and Ketchup riot. Touring with Rasputina was amazing too. Melora and the gang get better and better. And weirder and weirder. They do anti-war protest songs like no other.

Death By Doll’s new album is to be released soon, we are doing music for a lovely, dark Fairytale play by none other than Lisa Hammer of Turn of the Century two weeks in April, details to be posted later.
Also, the revisions for Gasoline are finished which means we are going into preproduction. Truly horrifying, but true. So again, I may have mentioned this before, but I am welcome to any one especially with production managing skills and experience, or leads for funding this project in part or whole send them my way: write to damedarcy1@msn.com subject: GASOLINE. It is an animated and live action feature film about a family of witches in a rock band searching for Gasoline after the apocalypse. It is an anti-war statement and pro-environment (and paganism) I’ll tell you guys this, but not everyone should know. I think it might truly flourish in Europe, Japan and Canada and I am looking particularly for Canadian involvement and for a publishing co. for the Gasoline graphic Novel.

So, is this enough? I forgot to mention: The Wanted Poster, maybe it’s cheezy? What do I have to lose? I’ve already lost my mind! I’ll include it in this blog anyway:

Luxurious glittering fantasy dreams come true through art! Be a wonderful patron and be directly involved in a brilliant artist’s life. I’m a multi-media fine artist currently producing books, paintings, music and film. As my patron you will be appreciated, credited and involved in any or all of the above. Plenty of fun times to be had and fantastic original works can be yours. I am Bi-coastal, (traveling from LA to NY) but based mainly in LA so I can focus on my feature film. View all of the above at Dame Darcy.com. Tomorrow never comes, so contact me now!

And on that note, keep in mind I am done with touring and am happy and available to do design for your musical endeavor or art of any kind for you. Simply write to damedarcy1@msn.com.

Toodle-loo and ta ta for now.
Love Always,
Dame Darcy

PAST EVENTS 2005

12/2/05
BUSINESS BEFORE PLEASURE Shall we...EMERGENCY! RESPOND IMMEDIATELY: I’m supposed to tour with Rasputina this month. I’m last minute booked to do a few shows in the Midwest. Here are the dates:

*Saturday Dec. 10th
Colorado Springs CO
Black Sheep 2106 Platte Ave.

*Sunday Dec. 11th
Lawrence KS
Granada 1020 Massachusetts Ave.

*Monday Dec. 12th
Sauget IL
Pops

I need a courageous and wonderful person (or persons) with a car to drive with me to these locations, the guarantee will pay for gas. If you fit this description and want to go on an adventure of a life time, you are not a stalker. Please respond immediately! I have to get someone as quickly as possible so I can get affordable airline tickets!
Or... if you are any one who lives in these areas and would like to get into the show for free in exchange for letting my traveling companion and I stay at your house for the night of the show. (Again, no stalkers need apply) also please contact me at the following address:
damedarcy1@msn.com, Subject: TOUR DRIVING ADVENTURE? YES! Or STAY AT MY HOUSE! Please answer only here, that means YOU friend groups. Or else I will not see your wonderful and courageous responses, and then I will cry while throwing the computer into the pit where they throw the dead zombies.

And on a cheerier note: HAPPY DOLLY- DAYS EVERY ONE!

It’s just this primal thing with me but I actually get HAPPIER looking at the gay multicolored glow of holiday lights, the same with clown polka dots. I heard some wicked awesome news out there for all you hot witches, Paganism and witchcraft are the fastest growing religion in The United States Of America today! That means Xmas is weirder than ever! Though I loathe today’s consumer culture, I love to get and give presents and I also get back in touch with so many lost souls over the Holliday season... it just warms the cockles of my broken, black heart. So shopping isn’t ALWAYS bad is it? And with that...

JUST IN TIME FOR THE DOLLY-DAY SEASON New and bizarre Gift Items for all your gift giving needs!

^v^ (Christmas bat approved)^v^

^v^ ONE OF A KIND DAME DARCY DESIGNED "MY LITTLE PONY" ^v^

Yes, this demented pony was sent to me by Hasbro and featured in a gallery expose by Thunderdog toys. The show was so weird, it was at the Milk Gallery in NY and these were all these freaky lookin’ ponies. Mine is now available on E bay. Look for Dame Darcy and all special items appear. The lovely people on this mailing list are in the know about the "specials" way before and of the random DD.commers.

It will also be seen in the “dolls" section of DD.com. but in a few days ...so get while the gettin’s good! It is 80% bigger than usual, approx 24 inches. All black and white like a pen and ink drawing in real life. But glistening and glittery. And with a unicorn horn! 2 specialty dolls were made for it, all black and white with the ultra luxurious pony hair.

^v^ DAME DARCY DOLL HOUSE ^v^

This doll house was lovingly hand crafted to look like the in the woods in Bone, Idaho where I spent my summer days as a child. Every thing made from found organic objects. Shell, rock and wood furniture. Mosaic cracked dishes form the tiles on the floor. Victorian postcards and wrapping paper decoupage wallpaper. Minute stitches on vintage fabrics form the bedding and curtains in the loft. A tiny armoire, vase and paper roses, a crystal ball and fortune telling table, with die cast Victorian silver doll chairs. A magic witch broom and antique cup from Holland. Last but not least portraits of dolls and an intricately crafted chandelier made from glass beads. The house is solid wood, painted blue with blue roses. The back and roof are on hinged doors that open for play or display. House to be viewed now on E-Bay
Ideal gift for any one 7yrs.-107 yrs.

^v^ RARE AND EXCITING MUSIC! See now in Music section of DameDarcy.com ^v^

GROUSE MOUNTAIN SKY RIDE 7 INCH

This lovely little blue grass album is now 13 yrs. old! Dame Darcy and Miss Christine on Banjo with pal Mr. Christe on Fiddle. This here’s a hum-dinger! And only 20 of them left in this signed, limited edition.

GEM IN EYE 7 INCH

Thanks to ir-ar records heralding from the United Kingdom. This Rare little monstrosity has arisen. This album sounds like someone’s demented idea of dance music? I was out of my mind when I made this, and it shows. This album is the sound equivalent to a freak show. Very rare. Only 25 available now and for eternity.

^v^ DVD ^v^

Yes, the modern format for today’s viewing pleasure, now conveniently available! See the critically acclaimed NY public Access show ^v^ Turn of the Century ^v^, featuring Movies and Animation by DD and Blessed Elysium.

^v^ MEAT CAKE THE PLAY ^v^ and ^v^ DAME DARCY’S TV “SPECIAL” ^v^ Featuring yours truly on those popular American shows straight from Hollywood and into your gut: The 5th Wheel, Blind Date, Etc....
Now available on DVD! Go to the movies section of DD.com to find out more!

And speaking of movies, now that the business part is over let’s talk about pleasure. I mean more business... My 2 Feature Films. Planet Blue and Gasoline. Things are hopping in ye ole’ movie corral.

I have investors, distributors, actors, directors, animators, musicians and fashion designers all interested and producing these films at the moment. But by nature, feature films are quite the endeavor, so if anyone knows any body who would like to be involved please contact me at: damedarcy1@msn.com, subject: MOVIE MANIA. I’ll go into detail about these movies later, but I’m exhausted now so I gotta go lie in my proverbial flower bed for a couple hours.

Peace to you all on this fine Holliday season!
Love Dame Darcy

10/18/05
Hi!
All new exciting events are happening for the Haloween and fall season!
I’m joining forces once again with Lisa Carver (Suckdog) to tour the East
Coast in October and the West coast in November. Its going to be quite the
little shin dig. Its to promote the release of Lisa’s new book Drugs are
Nice, about the life and times that were to be had in the early 90’s weirdo
art and music DIY scene. It was fun but still more fun is to be had
apparantly. The shows and dates will be posted at the end of this entry.
*****GASOLINE*****
Also, I publicly announce and thank Thistle, Scott Matalon and Greyson, the
production crew from Boston that came here to shoot the scenes we finished
of Gasoline, the feature film/graphic novel I have deticated and sacrificed
my life for for the past half decade (living in LA instead of NY is quite
the sacrifice I must say). The footage looks awesome and more digital
compositing is being done here in town by my dear friend Peter V. its all
turning out amazing. I also wish to thank Amy F. the lead actress for
helping me to coordinate this shoot in so many ways, Benjamin, Cy, and the
lovley pirate girls Shanna, Stephanie, Starla, Jane, Nanci ! Ahoy mermaties!
And the littliest mermaid Tasja and mom Dawn (Dot). Charles Schnieder Mr.
Warlock the magic maniac. Renee, Joseph, Mechanic Ken and Son.
So, anyway, we should have the example scenes finished by November, and the
screenplay revised when I return to the West Coast. It is very exciting!
We are using all this to get more actors, crew, and investors, and I have a
few good leads but we can always use more of everything. If any of you have
any ideas for rich eccentric people interested in making an art movie about
the appocalypse or any free enterprise business people or and visionaries of
any kind please send them my way!
Write to damedarcy1@msn.com and put GASOLINE! HELP! in the subject line.
I also have another Feature Film that I initally wrote a decade ago
(indeed!) but has been revised and is all slick and fancy now called Planet
Blue.
******PLANET BLUE******
We currently have producers for it and a relatively large budget but need a
director that is experienced in Animation or knows how to work with
animation and fabrication and I’ll be the darn animation director, but I
need a REAL director. (not that directing short films or working as an
assistant director to someone and all this is not directing, it very much
IS, and is very important) but this is the profile of a director that I
mean...
*Some one who has directed a feature film before and has the capibility of
getting us further organization and /or funding. We can actually pay this
person, and I mean really. I’m not getting into money specifics on this
posting , but believe me, this is a paying job.
I have alot of leads and interest for this position that I am persuing
methodically , but I am open to suggestion, and further leads from any of
you kind people out there.
to contact me regarding this unique query please write damedarcy1@msn.com
put
PLANET BLUE! HELP! in the subject line.
Now onto the next topic. Dame Darcy.com is currently up and running. Its
doing pretty good so far, and there are alot of interesting new items for
sale and fun doll games to play and music to hear and what have you, we
will be updating and changing this to keep it interesting all the time. The
thing that changes most is the fashion page, I am posting new hand made
coutre every week on the fashion page and selling items on E Bay. Pyscotic,
whimisical, wearable and affordiable art hand crafted with love from yours
truely. Check it out!
I’m looking for a business person to help me organize this site, but it has
to be someone with business experience please no stalkers or any one that
want to single white female me. Jesus.
I have debated the whole time we’ve been organizing the site to even ask for
a business manager here. But what the hell...
Death By Doll (our band) is done with our album done done done. All done.
Now working on the next one of course, a little ditty of lullabies and other
dark psydelic stuff entitled (currently) as" Blimpy loves Choo Choo" or "We
Shadow Forth". The Death By Doll release date by our first album Gasoline is
the Gasoline soundtrack and the release date has not been disclosed to me by
our label (Emperor Penguin) but I will let you all know as soon as I find
out.

Every day I am racing the clock to get a million and a half things done before I go on tour.
I really need help with my e mails from a trustworthy soul that believes in the power of art, magic and Do-it -yourself. Basically an e mail assistant and basic very basic computer skills person that lives in the LA area and can meet with me a couple times a week.

Come on computer geeks! You don’t even have to hit me with your best shot, you just have to know how to check e mails, post blogs, and scan. You know who you are!

I also need a competent (sp?) screen writer or script doctor. My feature film Gasoline is currently in pre production and to get the initial funding I need some one to reduce my working screenplay into a bite sized professional form. If you or any one you know fit the bill for this please contact me. I would prefer this person lives in the LA area as well but maybe not necessary. By the way, Gasoline is a movie and graphic novel included with an album by Death By Doll about witches that live after the apocalypse, FUN!
Because I don’t have a computer asst. just yet the best way o contact me is not through this group but to write me directly at damedarcy1@msn.com. Please specify "lovely computer assistant" or "fabulous screen play /script dr." in the subject line so I can identify you from the other million e mails.

Thanks!

Love Always,
Dame Darcy

  2. Thanks for your article. One other thing is that if you are promoting your property on your own, one of the issues you need to be aware of upfront is how to deal with household inspection reviews. As a FSBO vendor, the key to successfully shifting your property as well as saving money on real estate agent revenue is know-how. The more you are aware of, the simpler your sales effort will probably be. One area where by this is particularly essential is inspection reports.
